Software Engineer at Luxury Escapes

How It Started

In July 2025, I joined Luxury Escapes as an Associate Engineer on a newly formed team team-cx focused on customer experience enhancement. It was a chance to work on a high-traffic travel platform where small improvements have outsized impact, and I was excited to contribute across product, performance, and reliability.

What I Have Done

During this role, I focused on measurable improvements that helped teams move faster and customers have smoother experiences:

  • Built multi-variant campaigns and audience rollout tooling, enabling +66% YoY growth in the "best-of" campaign period.
  • Owned the translation service end-to-end (Pulumi, CircleCI, events, LLM integration), scaling reliable AI translation across locales.
  • Added New Relic monitoring and tuned query cache/logic, cutting feature-flag p99 latency from 800ms to 60ms.
  • Auto-inferred API schemas and generated OpenAPI docs, speeding cross-team delivery and AI integration.
  • Built Playwright E2E coverage for key flows, reducing regressions and improving release confidence.
  • Refactored tests and enabled Vitest parallelism with isolation, cutting CI test time 54s to 14s.

What I Got

This role sharpened my focus on shipping reliable experiences at scale. I learned to connect UX goals to engineering work, to instrument systems so we can prove impact, and to build tooling that helps teams iterate quickly without sacrificing quality.

Most importantly, I gained confidence delivering improvements that are both visible to users and durable for the platform. It has been a meaningful chapter in my growth as an engineer, and I am excited for what we can build next.

The journey is still going, stay tuned.
